Released in 1993 as a cooler, wooded counterpart to the original Égoïste, Platinum Égoïste was crafted by Chanel's master perfumer Jacques Polge. It became a benchmark masculine fragrance of the 1990s, prized for its clean, aromatic structure and long-lasting oakmoss base.
