Description
Louis Vuitton Les Sables Roses — the name translates as 'the pink sands' — was created in 2019 as part of the Louis Vuitton fragrance collection, supervised by perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud. It stands as one of the most accomplished rose-oud compositions in contemporary luxury perfumery.
The heart is built on two rose materials working in concert: Rosa centifolia absolute from Grasse, France, whose petals require individual hand-harvesting, and Bulgarian rose essence from the Valley of Roses near Kazanlak — both contributing different facets of the same flower. Black pepper from Madagascar and saffron from Iran weave a dry spice trail through the rose accord.
The base is grounded in Laotian oud wood and sea ambergris, providing a warm, resinous depth that extends the fragrance for eight to ten hours on skin. Sillage is moderate but persistent — a quiet luxury that reveals itself gradually throughout the day.
